Shlomo Barak

Professor Shlomo Barak is an internationally recognized oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 45 years of clinical experience and more than 45 published articles in oral surgery and dentistry. He is the Founder and Chairman of Magdent, a medtech company pioneering the use of pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) technology to accelerate healing in implant dentistry. He previously founded and led Maccabi-Dent, Israel’s largest dental clinic network, where he built 42 clinics across the country and managed over 1,700 employees. His visionary leadership helped establish one of the first dental support organizations (DSOs) in the world — a model now emulated globally. Professor Barak also served as Head of the Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, while continuing his private clinical work and mentoring younger generations of dental professionals. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and remains at the forefront of innovation where science, surgery, and system-level impact converge.
